This Is The Most Expensive Documentary Ever Made

A new wildlife documentary series by BBC aired its first episode this week in UK. Its sequel, Planet Earth (2006), was extremely successful. Planet Earth II is unlike any documentary you’ve ever seen before.

Planet Earth was the first natural documentary series to use High Definition. In keeping with the technological advances in the past 10 years, Planet Earth II will be using ultra high definition (4K), improved camera stabilisation, remote recording and aerial drone technology.

The first trailer was released on 9th October 2016 and it sure does look amazing! The shots, the music score, the camera angles and quality all look on fleek. The series is presented and narrated by Sir David Attenborough with the score composed by Hans Zimmer (yup, that’s the genius who came up with scores for Pirates of the Caribbean and Star Wars).

Here is the trailer (keep your eyes peeled because there’s a shot of Singapore!)
