For a long while, Singaporeans did not have a lot of options to get their cravings fixed but now, it’s everywhere! It started with GRUB where people were queueing for a table to get its churros. Now Churros Factory has many outlets all over Singapore and not forgetting the long queues and the disappointment people face when Churros 101 were sold out. While these places are ever so popular, here are nine other new places to get churros. Some of these places are always on the move, while others are overshadowed by other food items on the menu. Nonetheless, if you can’t think of what to do over the weekend, go hunt for these churros then!
1. Bakes & Crafts
It is pretty cool to see trendy food at our local pasar malams because aside from stuffing our faces with burgers, kebabs and tako yaki, we now have churros. Bakes & Crafts have injected new life to our pasar malams by serving their churros. Bakes & Crafts serves Original, Pandan, Red Velvet & Oreo flavoured churros ($4 – $5). If the west side is too far for you, don’t worry. Bakes & Craft churros will be popping up at various locations and events around Singapore, so keep a look out at their social media sites.
2. Back Alley Bites #backalleychurros
Another pasar malam usuals that is bringing the churros to the heartland is Back Alley Bites. Back Alley Bites is currently at block 207 Boon Lay Place serving up some amazing churros such as Cinnamon Sugar Churros ($4) with a choice of chocolate sauce, condensed milk sauce or icing sugar. Back Alley Bites does not forget about Singaporean’s favourite flavour – matcha. Yes they have Match Churros ($4.50) on the menu. Singaporeans are now spoiled for choice at the pasar malam.
3. Mr Churros SG
Mr Churros SG (another 50 cm long South Korean churros export) has landed on the shores of Singapore last year. While there are varying opinions of this new churros jaunt, I think we should give it a try and make our own judgement between Churros 101 and Mr Churros SG, which South Korean churro is better. But no doubt their crazy presentation of the churros from Mr Churros SG is pretty enticing.

4. Chulop SG
Created by Malay celebrity couple Malaque Mahdaly and Syarif Sleeq, Chulop SG is popular amongst the Malay community here. Every day, this Mexican dessert is made fresh with love by the couple. Get your churros together with their irresistible milkshake, that will make your travel to the East more worthwhile. But the churros craze is getting bigger and bigger, and you are craving for something different, try The Coconut Dream ($5.00). Not sure if you can sleep with the intense sugar rush from what-looks-like-a-harmless cup, but you can bet your money you won’t have nightmares tonight.
5. The Saladlicious
Yes this might be a little deceiving because thesaladicious is probably the last place you would find a cup full of chewy yet crispy churros. So if you need a quick churros fix in town, get the saladicious churros, now also in pandan flavour ($3 for 5 pieces).
Opening Hours: 10am – 10pm (Daily)
From the people that brought Hello Soda drinks, comes WORD, located at Thong Soon Road (Upper Thomson). Aside from the fusion cuisine served here, try their Churros Platter ($12) that has your local favourites like original, red velvet and pandan flavours with vanilla, chocolate and gula melaka sauce.
This weekend, swing by for your Churros fix! One of our most popular dessert, FIX's churros are made from scratch in-house, coated with cinnamon sugar and comes with dark chocolate dip. Not a bad idea at all, especially for a weekend treat. #FIXWeekendTIPS PS: Two more days to the weekend, hang in there!
Café desserts usually do not get enough love, especially when the food on the menu is good or unique (Naanwiches). But FIX’s churros deserves some love too. So save some space in your tummy for this dessert the next time you get your FIX.
8. ButterScotch Cafe
If you enjoy a thick gooey chocolate sauce to accompany your churros, try the ones at ButterScotch Cafe. A mess tin containing 6 crispy but chewy churros ($11) will have you wanting more.
9. Working Title Burger Bar
This cafe located at the hipster heaven, Arab Street, has undergone major changes. From serving only cakes and coffee, (working title) – burger bar is now serving a full lunch and dinner menu. One of the many desserts that are offered at the café’s churros platter (8 pieces for $14) served with a chocolate dip.
