In this tech-savvy era, social media has become part of our daily life. From snapping a photo of food to posting an update, everything is done via a mobile phone. The biggest social media platform right now is Instagram and sharing a little aspect of life online is the new normal. Posting pictures of food are no longer as simple as ‘snap and post’, instead, tedious planning and arrangement are required to get the best shot.
When it comes to Instagram-worthy cafes, there are more to just nice looking food. In my opinion, for a cafe to be Instagrammable, the ambience, decorations and furniture have to be on point–both the interior and exterior.
Here are 15 different cafes in Singapore so beautiful that will make you stand out in the world of Instagram (#sgcafe).
BiBing is probably the most interesting-looking bingsu cafe I have been to. While most bingsu cafes take on a clean, neat and simple decor, BiBing chose a forest concept, mimicking the spring and autumn season beautifully.
2. Boufe Boutique Cafe
Boufe Boutique Cafe is one of the most beautiful looking cafes in Singapore. Doused in so much white, it’s literally a paradise for a minimalist. The place has a modern and chic vibe, and most people don’t leave without a picture taken. Taking a photo of (or with) their signature swing at the entrance of the cafe is a must, as well as the alfresco dining area, where the streams of flowers hang across the pillars, making it dreamlike.
3. Brunches Cafe
Hidden among rows of cafes along Rangoon Road, Brunches incorporated a vintage and rustic theme. Using birdhouses as decor pieces and lighting, it adds on to the whimsical vibes. The true gem of attraction is the vintage Mini Cooper, which was converted to a 4-seater sofa set and the boot was used as a condiments station. Since it works on a first-come-first-serve basis, be sure to reach early to chope the seat.
4. Cad Cafe at BlueJazz Cafe
A cup of coffee connects people from all walks of life. You never know who you are gonna meet. 7. Monochrome Fusion Bistro
Monochrome Fusion Bistro’s belief of ‘less is more’ is reflected in the minimalist, black and white decor. The bistro offers an alternative dining experience of incorporating East and West cuisines, as well as having the dishes served in the duo-tone theme. The monochromatic vibes are definitely attractive enough to capture the space and food.
8. Mu Parlour
Located on the second floor of Holland Village, many people walk by without knowing its existence. Inspired by the Victorian era, Mu Parlour uses red velvet chairs and metal furnishings that grab everyone’s attention. The lace design on the metal furnishing gives the entire space a classy look while the white keeps it chic with its Victorian vibes.
9. Paddy Hills
Even though Paddy Hills is a little trickier to get to, the place is worth the trip for its space and food. Very few cafes chose doodles as the main aspect of their decor, but Paddy Hills did and has done a fantastic job with the artistic concept. Many flocked to the cafe just for that one Instagrammable shot with the huge exterior walls full of drawings.
10. Potato Head Folks
Located at Keong Saik Road, Potato Head Folk is an iconic building love by many. The cafe has four different levels, each floor serving different purposes. The painted murals, well-curated art pieces, a retro bar, and rooftop garden bring the cafe to life.
11. Revelry Cafe
Revelry incorporates the carnival theme into the cafe decor. Taking a photo of the iconic elephant at the shopfront is mandatory. The entire place feels as though you’re at a circus watching a performance.
12. Starbucks on Fullerton Waterboat House
Starbucks on Fullerton Water Boathouse marked the opening of the 100th store in Singapore. The place is huge and spacious, has ample of seats, wifi and power plugs, making it a perfect place to for work or study. The exterior of the building resembles the circular stem of a ship while the interior is beautifully decorated with accents of Singapore and Starbucks. Additionally, the view you have while sipping is just drop dead gorgeous.

If you are a fan of ‘Le Petit Prince’, you will definitely fall in love with this place. As I entered the shop, it feels as though I was part of the storybook. The entire place, including the floors, are decorated and painted with The Little Prince theme in mind. A perfect place to chill and be mesmerized by all the carefully drawn artworks.

Operating as both a cafe and a floral store, you may choose to purchase flowers or enjoy the afternoon with tea and cake, which are infused with flowers, such as earl grey or lavender.
15. The Plain Jane
The Plain Jane might not be plain after all. With the retro tiles, old school trinkets and items, the cafe is decorated in a way that is simple yet elegant.
Pretty obvious that I have a thing with doodles. I love drawing and anything related to art catches my attention because they inspire me. Not only are these places beautiful, but also the amazing food and desserts. Take time this week and visit one of the places for a meal, afternoon tea, or simply chill at the bar. Remember to capture lots of images of the place and post onto to your Instagram!
